text written evening 7th June:
Evening out in Pau – a prosperous looking place – still has an old city centre race circuit that is used for classic GT racing. We wandered around some of the track – marveling at how narrow the circuit is. There is absolutely no run off – just very hard looking armco! I wouldn't want to be having a crash round there....
Meal out with the gang – Pau specialties, according to the barman at the hotel, are duck and seafood (not together). Can definitely say that the Moules Mariniere were great – though the pommes frites were not much cop. Much beer had by all – no doubt that this will improve the driving style at the circuit tomorrow :-)
